The Reds haven't really spent a lot of money in the transfer market since the summer of 2023. In fact, since last summer, Liverpool have spent the least amount of money on incoming players in the Premier League.

On top of that, Liverpool are still yet to extend the trio of Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, leading to more frustration among the fans.
The trio are now able to negotiate with clubs from abroad and agree free transfers away from Anfield at the end of the season.
Losing them would be devastating and understandably there is a lot of anxiety among the club's supporters but one of FSG's stakeholders has reminded everyone of an important and emotional message.
LeBron James sends emotional message
Liverpool part owner, LeBron James has endured a crazy trade deadline in the NBA with the Lakers bringing in Luka Doncic and trading for Mark Williams, although the latter was rescinded.
Over at Liverpool, things were a little more quiet. In fact there was virtually no activity from the Reds, especially when it comes to bringing in new players in the winter market.
Again FSG faced the brunt of the criticism, and pressure is now mounting on them. Even the Kop has sent messages about 'giving Mo his dough' from the stands.
Amid all of this LeBron took to social media last night to send a message of unity.
Before the Lakers' match-up with the Indiana Pacers, LeBron wore a Liverpool training top in the warm-up and this was spotted by the club's official Twitter page.
Liverpool shared the image of LeBron, who then later responded with a quote tweet and an emotional caption of 'YNWA' linking back to the club's famous anthem and accompanied by a winking and a crown emoji.
It's a subtle but poignant message from the NBA star. And it's very much pertinent amid all the frustration surrounding FSG. The club's fans just need to stick together.

Here's a thought, if Virgil does leave, then both Edwards and Hughes should buy both the centre backs, who Plymouth played today. They were both outstanding and would git in at Anfield nicely. They have the fighting Spirit of Shanks. Especially Maxi, he would be the next colossus.
