Liverpool loan star Kaide Gordon has scored his first-ever league goal and it’s one Arne Slot will absolutely love.

Kaide Gordon had a moment to remember on Saturday as he scored his first league goal. Gordon started on the bench for Norwich City but came on as a second-half substitute at Carrow Road.

Norwich ran out 4-0 winners over Hull City - an emphatic win and Gordon played his part. The winger grabbed the third goal on 65 minutes and we've got to believe it's one that Arne Slot will love.

It comes entirely from pressing, after all. Hull stop an attack in their own box, winning it back around the penalty spot. The defender wants a moment to pick an out-ball - but Gordon reacts instantly.

He closes the defender hard, robs him of the ball 12 yards from goal and slides it past another defender into the bottom corner. A brilliant goal and exactly the kind that Liverpool want from their players.

It's quick-thinking, brilliant acceleration and wonderful skill from Gordon. You can check it out below:

Gordon hasn't had the perfect start to life at Norwich but this will hopefully kickstart his season. The likes of Ben Doak and Lewis Koumas have already earned plenty of plaudits - but Gordon has been a little slower to the campaign.

That's perhaps to be expected, though. Gordon isn't too far removed from an awful injury problem that sidelined him for over a year.

He's finding his groove once again, however - a groove that once had him down as the up-and-coming winger in English football. If he can find that level again, there's still plenty of time for the 20-year-old to make the grade at Anfield.

But this is a massive campaign for him and he can't spend too much time getting to grips with life in the Championship. As we say, this is hopefully the kickstart he's been waiting for.
