Liverpool have confirmed that Jurgen Klopp will become the first ever honorary ambassador of the LFC Foundation.

The German left his position as Liverpool boss at the end of the 2023/24 season following almost nine years of service, with the Reds lifting the Premier League, Champions League and an array of other trophies during his tenure.

The legendary coach will never be forgotten at Anfield, even now that Arne Slot has taken over his role as the club's head coach.

However, Klopp's special connection with Liverpool will continue after taking his new role on Merseyside, with the 57-year-old always an incredible advocate for the brilliant work conducted by the LFC Foundation during his time in the dugout.

JURGEN KLOPP 'REALLY PROUD' OF NEW ROLE

The former Liverpool manager's latest position with the club was confirmed on Friday morning, and Klopp expressed the joy he felt committing to the role.

"The LFC Foundation does an incredible job in the community, both in the Liverpool City Region and beyond," said Klopp.

"I am really proud to continue my work with them and be named the first-ever LFC Foundation honorary ambassador. I look forward to seeing what we can do with that now that I have more time on my hands."

CEO of the LFC Foundation, Matt Parish, added: "We are delighted that Jurgen is continuing his support of the Foundation as our first honorary ambassador.

"Having his support has been priceless for us over the years and to have that continue is fantastic and highlights his commitment to the Foundation and the work that we continue to do across the Liverpool City Region.

"Jurgen’s love and passion for the city has been clear throughout his time at the club and it can only benefit us having his support and his voice championing the work that we do moving forward."

Jurgen Klopp is far more than just a manager in Liverpool.
