Former Red posts EMOTIONAL message to Jurgen Klopp on social media
Former Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has posted a touching tribute to Jurgen Klopp on social media after the 56-year-old took charge of his final match in the dugout on Sunday.
Liverpool beat Wolves 2-0 during Klopp's last game at the helm, with emotional scenes taking place after the final whistle as supporters inside Anfield showed their appreciation for the iconic coach.
Tributes have been pouring in over the last 24 hours, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Pep Guardiola and even Richarlison among those to have hailed the former Borussia Dortmund coach.
Liverpool fans and players are still coming to terms with Klopp's departure after almost nine trophy-laden years at the club, with his former employees also taking a moment to reflect on the impact the boss has had on their lives.
The latest to do just that is ex-Liverpool centre-back Lovren, who was at the club when Klopp first arrived in October 2015.
DEJAN LOVREN'S HEARTFELT TRIBUTE TO JURGEN KLOPP
The Croatian took to X (formerly Twitter) to dedicate a heartfelt message to his old boss, with the pair spending over four years together on Merseyside.
Lovren wrote: "You showed me the way how to get up when everyone beats you up. You showed me the way when nobody is believing in you, how to believe in yourself.
"You showed me the way how to be a man in difficult times. You showed me the way how to respect and love each other in thought moments.
"You are the one who was with me in my lowest point of my life. You listened and you told me some things which I will never forget.
"DANKE BOSS. Wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart."
Lovren won just two trophies with Liverpool but both came under Klopp's guidance. The current Lyon defender lifted the Champions League and Premier League while working with the German at Anfield.
The 34-year-old didn't always perform at his best during his Liverpool days, but Klopp was the manager who was able to get the best out of him.
