Why Harry Kane is absolutely PERFECT for Liverpool's attacking rebuild
A new era began when Arne Slot walked through the door at Anfield and it has been a successful one so far.

A summer overhaul of Liverpool’s front-line is coming and, with names like Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah all potentially on their way out of the club, attention must turn to finding the man to lead the Reds’ line.
Slot’s side could be left without a talisman if Salah does leave, so who better to replace him than one of the Premier League’s greatest ever goalscorers?
Harry Kane.
Harry Kane is the man to lead Liverpool
Following recent reports that Harry Kane has a release clause of just over £50 million in his contract at Bayern Munich, the door could be open for Liverpool to complete one of the greatest transfer coups of all time.
Kane is second in the Premier League all-time top goalscorers list, only 47 goals behind Alan Shearer.

The England captain also became the fastest player ever to score 50 goals in the Bundesliga earlier this season, breaking Erling Haaland’s record.
What better place for the 31-year-old to come and make history by breaking Shearers record than Anfield?
The problem with Kane to Anfield
As Liverpool look to replenish their attack, Kane is the obvious candidate in almost every category apart from his age.
Kane has scored 73 goals in his first 74 appearances for Bayern, which is absolutely ridiculous. He has also only missed 6 games through injury since he arrived in Bavaria, less than Salah in the same period.
His relatively low price tag and familiarity with the Premier League combined with his performance at Bayern make him the perfect candidate for Liverpool, but only if Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes can look past his age.
Liverpool very rarely target players over 25, let alone over 30, so Kane would be an anomaly to the usual transfer model the Reds use.
The caveat is of course that Kane is himself an anomaly, scoring more Premier League goals than 99.9% of players to ever play in the competition.

So, if Edwards and Hughes can look past Kane’s age, Liverpool could have an absolute monster leading their attack, one that’s hungry to break the all-time record and could lead the Reds to a few trophies along the way.
