Liverpool's full-back CRISIS keeps getting worse and worse
Liverpool have had a difficult week when it comes to news about full-backs.
Going into the international break fans were already dealing with the fact that the club's two primary right-sided full-backs were injured.

Conor Bradley had been taken off in the dying moments of Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa back in February, and Trent Alexander-Arnold had to be substituted during Liverpool's loss at Anfield to PSG three weeks ago, leading to Jarell Quansah having to feature at right-back in the Carabao Cup final loss to Newcastle.

Across the two weeks, fans hoped that the pair would be able to recover in time to play a part in the remainder of the season and then any news regarding Trent's future could be dealt with after.
But no, earlier this week it was revealed by some of football's most reliable transfer journalists Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein that Trent is almost definitely Madrid bound.
This is in addition to the likelihood that one of Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas are likely to be replaced following sub-par seasons, making it two full-backs that Liverpool will need to sign.
One player on the periphery of the team, who could be in Arne Slot's plans to inherit one of the available full-back roles next season has now gone and ruled himself out of contention as well.
Beck's injury return lasts just 13 minutes
Owen Beck is a talented prospect, who predominantly plays on the left-side of the pitch, be it playing deep as a full-back or going high up as a hybrid forward.
The 22-year-old Welshman is sure to be an asset that every team would appreciate, given his wide range of skills and ability to play different positions, but after knocking on the Liverpool first-team door, it was decided that a loan move was the best place for him for the time being.
He spent most of the 2023/24 season at Dundee FC, before going on a season-long loan for the 2024/25 season at Blackburn Rovers where he is now.
It's been a tumultuous campaign for him so far, having excelled for the Blue and Whites since getting regular minutes, although he has had his fair share of adversity to deal with along the way - not least visit to Preston back in September where he was sent off and bitten by an opposition player.
As this summer approaches, it seems incredibly likely that his future will be decided with either the club either offering him a pathway to enter the first team, or a permanent move away from Liverpool.
When you add in the context that Liverpool have got a bit of a crisis with full-backs at the minute - both left-backs struggle to delivered consistent performance levels, Trent jetting off to Madrid and Bradley finding it difficult to stay fit, you might think Beck has a big opportunity.
Liverpool are looking at players on the transfer market to cover those positions, but the first place the recruitment team will look is internally. Who have we already got and are they good enough?
In Beck, you've got a player who is still developing, but has definitely shown signs of promise. Making him the team's first choice starter would certainly be pushing him in at the deep end, but he could definitely be an asset to the team.
However, the one thing that Beck has against him is his injury record. Just 13 minutes into his injury return against Portsmouth yesterday, he had pulled his hamstring again.
The Welshman had already been out for seven weeks, and now it seems as though he might not finish the season. As with Bradley, it seems as though he just isn't physically ready for the demands that would be put on him playing Premier League football every week.

As such, the Reds will have to keep looking because when you look at the team's needs, it is pretty clear that not buying new full-backs simply isn't an option.
