A fan video has shown an injured Liverpool player back in training. Jurgen Klopp appeared to confirm this in a conversation.

A fan video uploaded by Courtney Neary has shown Diogo Jota in training - albeit on his own for now. The Portuguese forward has been missing for weeks now but could be on his way to a return.

Liverpool hosted a tour of the AXA Training Ground this week that allowed fans behind the scenes. That even included an impromptu conversation with Jurgen Klopp, who openly shared injury updates.

One of those he shared was for Alisson Becker, who he said would be back in "two and half to three weeks". Then he threw in "like Diogo", suggesting the two had similar timeframes.

And that's certainly backed up by the fan footage. Jota is back out on the pitch and working his way towards fitness - something that shows he's not too far from a return.

It's one Liverpool desperately need, too.

Liverpool need Diogo Jota back

Jota hasn't played since the middle of February, so over a month now. If he indeed is out for another few weeks, it'll have been over two months without the player.

That's especially devastating as Jota was in fantastic form when he got injured. His last six starts had seen five goals and two assists - a run of form that made him the most dangerous player in the side.

The good news is that Jota will return to a better team. Mohamed Salah is now back and starting games, while Trent Alexander-Arnold should be in the side before long.

And Liverpool need this. The Reds are competing for two trophies over the next two months and the only way they realistically win them is with a full squad.

Hopefully, then, this video is a sign that Jota isn't far from that return. It would be a massive one for Liverpool.
