Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic has teased his return to fitness on Instagram in what will be a huge boost for Jurgen Klopp.

The young midfielder has played just twice this season having struggled with numerous injury setbacks, with the Spaniard having not featured in a Premier League game in over a year.

The 19-year-old had been a revelation in what was a difficult 2022/23 campaign, but his development has been adversely affected by his fitness woes this year.

However, Klopp did suggest that Bajcetic would return to first team training after the current international break and the starlet has posted an exciting injury update on social media himself.

Having not featured since the Carabao Cup third round against Leicester City in late September, Bajcetic would be a welcome addition to the Liverpool squad ahead of a busy end to the campaign.

It appears that Bajcetic is indeed closing in on a return to full fitness, with the Spanish youth international posting a photo of himself training on his Instagram story, alongside the caption: "Can't wait for what's coming."

The youngster is likely to be eased back into the first team, especially given Liverpool's wealth of midfield options at present, but Reds supporters will be pleased to see the wonderkid make his long-awaited return.

Bajcetic had wowed supporters recently with another training photo which highlighted just how much work he has been doing in the gym during his rehabilitation, with the midfielder's huge calves catching the eye.

The tennager has had plenty of time to focus on building up strength having been unexpectedly thrust into the first team at such a young age, with Bajcetic hopefully able to continue his development in the coming months.
