'We'll do great things': Liverpool star lets slip he plans to STAY
Liverpool have a host of stars facing exits as the contract crisis continues. One appears to be staying, however.
Liverpool could lose a series of elite players this summer. The big three are obvious: Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

All three are out of contract at the end of the season and we've all been waiting on positive news for a year now. The closer the summer gets, the more it appears they'll be off.
But they're not even the only players with unclear futures. Ibrahima Konate enters the final year of his deal in 2025 and Paris Saint-Germain want to sign him.
Alisson Becker will also move closer to the end of his deal and there's reportedly interest from Saudi Arabia. Luis Diaz rejected a contract offer this season - he may well be sold while his price is high.
It's all very confusing and actually nerve-wracking; what will Liverpool look like next season? No one's particularly clear on that.
Fortunately, one star appears to have let slip that he intends to play for the Reds.

Ibrahima Konate on his future
Konate was part of a roundtable for LFCTV recently where he discussed arriving at Liverpool. The effect Jurgen Klopp had on him is plain to see:
"I remember before signing for Liverpool, I spoke with Jurgen [Klopp],” he said. “He told me, ‘The day when you sign, you will see your life will change completely.'”

“I was like, ‘Yes, OK, I can trust you.’ But I didn’t expect like that…”
“Everywhere when I travel in the world, we have so many fans everywhere. This changed everything for me.”
But it was what Konate said afterwards that was particularly interesting.

“Honestly, to be in this club, this means a lot of things because I’m a part of this story, of this club, and I really hope this season and the seasons of the future we will do great things as well," said Konate.
That certainly sounds like someone who is entirely planning on a future with Liverpool. Of course, that's exactly how we hope things go and certainly the Frenchman's instinct is that his future is with the club.

Now, things can change, of course. PSG will be one club piling the pressure on Konate to reject any new contract with Liverpool and sign for him.
But it sounds like that won't be easy for them. Konate loves playing for the Reds and hopes for a bright future with them.
Now it's just up to the club to make it happen with a new contract.
