Liverpool want to sign FOUR more massive contracts
Liverpool’s charge to their 20th league title has been somewhat overshadowed by the contract situation of some of the club’s biggest stars.
News of Mohamed Salah’s two-year extension will have alleviated the worries of some supporters, but Richard Hughes work is far from done.

Virgil van Dijk looks set to stay put at Anfield too, with an announcement of an extension due, but the situation is not so simple for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The right-back has less than three months remaining on his current deal, and a move to Real Madrid on a free transfer looks almost certain now.
Beyond Van Dijk and Trent there are other contract worries going into next season, but according to recent reports Hughes has it all under control.
Liverpool set to seal multiple contract renewals
According to a new report from Graeme Bailey, writing for TBR Football, Liverpool will move their focus to extending the contracts of Ibrahima Konate, Curtis Jones and Conor Bradley once a deal for club captain Van Dijk has been confirmed.
Konate is out of contract in the summer of 2026, and both Jones and Bradley’s current deals are set to expire 12 months later.
A new deal for Konate has been spoken about all season but progress has been slow, with the club’s focus presumably mainly on Salah and Van Dijk.

Having let three of the club’s best players enter the last three months of their contract, Hughes will be keen to not let the Frenchman do the same.
New deals for Jones and Bradley could hint at an increased role for the pair next season, with Bradley potentially in line to replace Alexander-Arnold in Slot’s starting XI.
Liverpool’s summer transfer plans
Any new contracts the Reds do finalise before the summer transfer window will impact any plans Hughes, Arne Slot and Michael Edwards may have made.
Even if they do not have a financial impact, the renewals of Van Dijk and Konate in particular will undoubtedly decide how much of a priority signing a centre half is in the upcoming window.
Salah’s deal has already taken the pressure off needing to recruit a prolific goal scorer, although a no.9 will almost definitely remain on Hughes’ shopping list, and an extension for Bradley could mean Liverpool are only looking to bring in a back up right-back instead of a fully-fledged starter.

With one major contract already signed, sealed and delivered, Liverpool supporters will hope the others aren’t too far behind so all focus can be on new arrivals come the summer.
