Liverpool defender Conor Bradley has been discussing Arne Slot's first pre-season in charge of the Reds and has revealed one tactical tweak the Dutchman has made from the old regime under Jurgen Klopp.

The Dutch coach has been working with his new squad ahead of the start of the Premier League campaign, even if some Reds are yet to report back for pre-season duty as they recover from international tournaments.

The Reds have travelled to the United States for a pre-season tour and kicked off their American adventure with the first win of the Slot era on 27 July.

Dominik Szoboszlai scored the only goal of the game during a 1-0 win over Real Betis, with plenty of encouraging signs for Liverpool supporters.

Slot is known to be a tactical innovator and Reds right-back Bradley has been discussing the differences between the 45-year-old and his predecessor Klopp.

CONOR BRADLEY REVEALS ARNE SLOT TACTICAL TWEAK

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, the Northern Irishman claimed that there are not major stylistic changes between Slot and Klopp, but the Reds now build attacks in a slightly different way under the former Feyenoord boss.

"Just probably a bit more structure in the build-up phase," admitted Bradley when quizzed about the tactical difference between Slot and Klopp.

"Obviously out of the ball it's quite similar – we still want to press when we lose the ball, we still want it back as quick as we can.

"There's not massive changes but there's just little tweaks in there that will hopefully make us better. It's been really good."

Bradley enjoyed a brilliant breakout season in Liverpool colours last term, with Klopp regularly putting his faith in the youngster. The 21-year-old didn't disappoint.

However, Bradley has suggested that he feels even better heading into the 2024/25 season as he continues his exceptional development.

"I think naturally you get bigger as you get older but I try to work on it as well," the defender added.

"In the off-season, I was in the gym just doing as much as I could while always recovering as well. I feel bigger, I feel stronger, I feel fitter.

"For me this pre-season, I just want to stay injury-free. I just want to make sure I'm as fit as I can [be] going into the season and make sure I've got no injuries, because obviously last year I think I only got two weeks of pre-season and obviously got the injury.

"My main focus is to just stay injury-free, get myself fit and get myself ready for the season."
