Liverpool are cursing injuries once again after another star was ruled out until the New Year. Ibrahima Konate isn't the only one.

Liverpool were rocked this week with news that Ibrahima Konate is out until the new year. He's set to miss a whole host of key fixtures, including the massive clash with Manchester City on Sunday.

The Frenchman picked up his problem against Real Madrid, hobbling off after the final whistle and looking in rough shape. We now know there was a good reason for that - his knee is damaged.

But he wasn't the only player to suffer. Conor Bradley had to go off in the second half with a hamstring problem.

That was an enormous shame as Bradley was in the midst of his greatest-ever performance. The 21-year-old controlled Kylian Mbappe on the left flank, while also providing an assist for Liverpool's opener.

Arne Slot was unable to give any updates in his Thursday press conference, though. He bemoaned that it didn't look good for Bradley - but he wasn't in position to rule him out.

Now, however, Liverpool have their bad news.

Conor Bradley is out

Bradley will now miss the entire Christmas period and isn't expected back in a Liverpool shirt before the New Year. That's according to the Belfast Telegraph.

That's a huge blow for Liverpool. Not only are they losing a quality player here but it also dramatically increases the pressure on Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Joe Gomez, the other cover at right-back, is expected to operate in the middle with Konate out. That leaves Alexander-Arnold needing to play every week, essentially.

But he's had his own problems. The Scouser is only just back from an injury and he's been playing through pain injections for a little while now.

Not good news, then. Liverpool will hope Bradley can recover quickly because this is one that risks causing serious problems for Slot.
