Liverpool LEGEND no longer part of Arne Slot's plans
The Trent Alexander-Arnold contract saga might finally have reached an end - we think.
Since the start of the season, it was understood that Liverpool would have to pull out all the stops to save themselves from an embarrassing end to the season as three contracts were set to expire.

Eight months later, both Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk have committed their futures to the club, signing new deals that will prolong their stays on Merseyside to 2027.

However, Trent is still stringing us along. The club will have worked tirelessly to tempt him to renew his deal, especially given the player is a Liverpudlian native who rose through the academy before he secured his spot in the first-team set-up.
But at long last it seems as though we might eventually have some clarity on his decision.
Trent staying at Liverpool would be "the biggest u-turn ever"
According to Football Insider, Trent Alexander-Arnold is 'no longer part of Arne Slot's plans at Liverpool, despite suggestions of a change of heart.'
Their senior correspondent Pete O'Rourke added that 'the Reds have already moved on and are preparing for life without the 26-year-old this season.'
A move to Real Madrid has looked inevitable all season, and the formal reports that his decision was already reached last month sent Liverpool fans into a frenzy, confusion and anger, as their long-term relationship with the player was likely to end with a very painful breakup for both parties.
Over the last few weeks, it had become conceivable that Trent could change his mind and renew his deal with the club.
For example, Salah had posted an innocuous Instagram story that pictured himself, Ibrahima Konate, Dominik Szoboszlai and Trent sitting in a room together, which prompted questions such as, what do they talk about? Do they already know Trent's decision? Is this an attempt at an intervention?
A few weeks later, Trent then scored the winning goal for the Reds against Leicester, which led to an impassioned celebration with the fans.
The pictures showed a man that didn't want to leave his boyhood club, although his post-match interview then all-but confirmed that Trent would leave.

No one has a clue what he will do, although the most likely outcome of this is that he will move on this summer, for the basic reason that his contract will expire in June.
But hopefully, if Liverpool know they're fighting a lost cause, then the efforts of the recruitment team can be repositioned to looking at potential replacements, even if we don't know what the right-back has decided yet.
