Liverpool have a huge collection of talented players in their ranks.
In order to give each of them the development they need to progress in their careers, the club may send them on loan.

That is the pathway that Ben Doak was sent down following some impressive but limited spells with the Reds' first team.
The 19-year-old winger was sent to Middlesbrough at the start of the season, and he has become an instant hit with the Boro faithful, delivering two goals and five assists in 17 starts in the Championship.
He has since given his parent club a decision to make at the end of the season - give him regular minutes with the first team, or he may search for a permanent move elsewhere, and there is no shortage of potential takers.
Doak receives Premier League interest
Known for his fast-paced dribbling ability, Doak has shone under Michael Carrick's leadership at Middlesbrough, causing no end of problems for opposition defenders.
One of the few ways he has been stopped has been through him being marked out of the game by three players at once. He's been relentless in his pursuit to make the most of his opportunity in the Championship and his efforts have not been unnoticed.
According to Alan Nixon via One Football, Crystal Palace are interested in signing Doak and have been checking on him at Middlesbrough, although he is currently in favour of a chance to make a stake back at Liverpool before looking elsewhere.
When Liverpool had previously tried out Doak, he had shown bags of potential but very little end product, however, it seems as though the Scottish youngster is beginning to add a clinical streak to his game.
Through working alongside Mohamed Salah before he went out on loan, and experiencing international football with the Scottish national team, Doak has been exposed to different experiences that will only have helped improve his game.
Back at Liverpool, Arne Slot is known for his work with developing young players and now could be the time for the winger to finally break into the Reds side.
But if he were to be unsuccessful in his aim, the prospect of playing regular Premier League football with Crystal Palace, or with his loan club Middlesbrough if they were to get promoted, would be a more than promising backup plan.
Having been described as 'Messi-like' - causing 'carnage' on the pitch - by his fellow teammates, and watching fans, both Liverpool and Doak know the talent he possesses and managing him will be a tedious task.
With the knowledge that Salah might leave this season, keeping Doak might be essential for the club, but if he is not favoured for the first team quite yet, Doak will be prepared to keep his own self-interest at heart in order to continue his meteoric rise in professional football.
