Arsenal have proven once again that they'll never be on Liverpool's level. They've rejected a plan led by the Reds.

For the first time in a very long time, Liverpool and Arsenal have felt like actual rivals. That's the nature of a 'title race', with the Reds topping the table and the Gunners in second.

However, it hasn't been much of a race. Liverpool are now 13 points clear of Arsenal and while the latter have a game in hand, it does feel a little over already.

Arsenal just haven't been able to keep up and Arne Slot's men are running away with it. Still, this is the first time since 2002 that these two have been the top two.

Liverpool did look like winning the title that year for a period, though fell away at the end of the campaign to finish with nothing. Arsenal would take the trophy on 87 points, eight more than the Reds.

This time, however, things are very much the other way around. Arsenal failed to match Liverpool - and that goes for off the pitch, too.

Liverpool vs Arsenal ticket prices

Liverpool officially announced last month that they will be freezing ticket prices for the 2025/26 season. They report that this is 'despite significant increases in Anfield matchday operating costs and continued rises in the cost of football operations in general'.

Both season tickets and general admission prices remain the same, with junior tickets keeping the same £9 cost they've had for the last decade.

This came after a campaign from supporters' groups, as well as a conversation with the supporters' board. It's a massive win for Reds, who joined West Ham United and Brentford with the freeze.

And then there's Arsenal.

The Gunners are soon to announce an inflationary price rise of around 3.7 per cent, per the Mirror. This comes despite others opting against the rise and two months of talks with their own supporters' groups over the issue.

There's also the fact that Arsenal already boast the most expensive season ticket in football at over £1000.

Now, Arsenal could be joined in this by other major clubs - it remains to be seen if fan protests have an effect on Manchester united, Manchester City or Tottenham Hotspur. But it's certainly a poor look, as it is anytime a big club raises their prices.

But here's a situation where Liverpool, once again, deliver what the fans wanted. And Arsenal, once again, do not.
