Liverpool ready to hand Arne Slot the ULTIMATE reward
Liverpool are preparing the ultimate reward for Arne Slot. The Dutchman has been a revelation.
What a job Liverpool did in 2024. They replaced Jurgen Klopp with Arne Slot, handing the latter what appeared to be an impossible job.

And yet, he's delivered one of the most remarkable seasons in years. Liverpool sit an incredible 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League (though, they have played one more than Arsenal).
The title 'race' is more like a procession, with the Reds looking unstoppable right now. The remaining question appears to be 'when' they'll wrap it up - not 'if'.
Then there's European football, too. Liverpool finished first in the UEFA Champions League league phase and while that 'earned' them a Last 16 clash with an incredible Paris Saint-Germain side, it was a sign that their domestic dominance can translate to European competition.
And what makes this all the more remarkable is that Slot pushed Liverpool up a gear without any real additions to the team. Federico Chiesa is the sole difference between this squad and the one Klopp finished with (though, injured stars Joel Matip and Thiago did both leave in the summer).

Chiesa hasn't exactly made a difference, however. He's played just 28 Premier League minutes and is actually in danger of not getting a medal.
It's not even Slot's squad, then, and yet he's got it marching towards the Premier League title. It's incredible - truly - and Liverpool reportedly plan on rewarding that.
Arne Slot's reward
Slot's contract does only run until 2027 and Liverpool are in a little danger there. He could really use a new one.
And This Is Anfield reports that Liverpool plan on offering him just that once the season is over. Slot will get his reward for a sensational debut campaign - and the Reds get to lock down their boss for the long term.

As TIA point out, De Telegraaf suggests Slot is on around £6.6m per year. That's under half of what Klopp was earning at Liverpool.
So there's plenty of room for manoeuvring here as the Reds look to reward the head coach. In fact, they could give him a bumper pay rise and still not come particularly close to what Klopp was on.

It's all fully deserved, of course. Slot has been incredible, with all Liverpool fans blown away with how quickly he's got things moving forward.
Now just imagine what he can do with a squad that's actually built for him...
