Arne Slot will be THRILLED as star commits to Liverpool
Arne Slot gets what he wanted as one star commits to Liverpool. The Reds' boss can continue to push for the biggest prizes.
Liverpool transfer news today: Exclusive as €52m winger wants Reds move
Arne Slot reportedly went into this campaign with a 'demand' of sorts. He wanted six forward to attack the season with - one set for starters, and another set as cover.

It's been needed, too. Diogo Jota's injury troubles have continued since kick-off, while Darwin Nunez just hasn't been consistent. Not that anyone is shocked by that.
Luis Diaz, though, hasn't been able to continue his early-season form. It's Mo Salah and Cody Gakpo who have carried the torch for the Reds - they're the ones leading Liverpool to the top.
The Times reported at the start of last month that Slot asked to have six forwards. Of course, he actually started the season with five.
Liverpool had to give him one.
Federico Chiesa commits
Liverpool’s one addition in the summer was Federico Chiesa, with Giorgi Mamardashvili joining the club next summer. But we've barely seen the Italian.
What we have seen has been encouraging, mostly, but Chiesa has battled fitness concerns, keeping him out of the team. It led to speculation that he could return to Italy, with Napoli reportedly interested in signing him.
But Chiesa made it clear this week that he won't be going anywhere. He wants to play for Liverpool and intends to stay.
It'll be music to Slot's ears, who will be far more comfortable giving chances to Chiesa than drafting in someone on short notice. Any new player may simply kickstart the bedding-in process all over again, unable to provide a meaningful contribution before the campaign closes.
Slot, then, has his six forwards. We're hoping Chiesa can finally click into gear and bring something new over the second-half of the season.
It's cliche, but he may well feel like a new signing.
