Alexis Mac Allister makes LANDMARK announcement after scoring for Argentina
Liverpool's senior squad has grown to become quite a close-knit group over the last few years, creating almost a family feel when we get to see the players training with each other.
Of course, Arne Slot will have high expectations of what he wants from his players, but so has every manager over the years. It is clear to each member of the group exactly what is required to succeed at Liverpool.

As a result, the players have become really comfortable around each other, creating a relaxed atmosphere in the group. For the fans, it can be really difficult to envisage one of them leaving.

Even in the case of someone like Darwin Nunez who is an incredibly frustrating character to support, given all the chances he misses in front of goal when the team is relying on him to score, we all still adore him and want him to do well on a personal and professional level.
That's why the recent reports that Trent Alexander-Arnold is leaving instead of extending his contract have been so poorly received. Liverpool are winning things, and he's a homegrown talent, why on earth would you want to leave?
Well, despite some players planning their futures away from the club, plenty of Liverpool's big names are incredibly open with where their head is at, including Alexis Mac Allister, who has just released a massive hint of what's to come in his future.
Mac Allister and Ailen Cova announce pregnancy
The Reds' little Argentine magician in midfield is putting down roots in Liverpool after announcing that he will become a father later this year.
During the international break, the news was posted to the player's Instagram page and after he scored for his national team, he used the ball to gesture that his girlfriend Ailen Cova is pregnant - per Olé.
Following his goal, he asked Enzo Fernandez for the ball before putting it under his shirt and looking for his loved ones in the stand. The goal came during Argentina's thumping 4-1 win over Brazil in CONMEBOL World Cup qualification.
This follows similar news that has come from Curtis Jones who has also recently become a parent, and Dominik Szoboszlai who has got married.
It is a friendly reminder that while Liverpool's players are servants of the club, and we mostly see them playing football at Anfield, that they are also real people with their own personal lives away from the game.
Of course, Mac Allister's news is no guarantee that he will not leave the club at some point in the future, just as no individual's personal announcements can really hint at anything transfer wise.
However, it could very easily be construed that the midfielder is happy and the addition of a baby coming into their lives might well add another important consideration to any future move.
As mentioned before, the news of a player becoming father should have no relation to their performances, in fact Jones went on a scoring spree when his child was born.
