Why FSG continue to BETRAY Michael Edwards with one broken promise
Michael Edwards will be feeling frustrated by one of FSG's broken promises since his return to Liverpool.
The club's former sporting director returned to the club as FSG's chief executive of football last year almost a year ago from now back in March 2024.

It was a move that has largely been celebrated but with almost a year having passed there will now be some question marks about Edwards.
And there will be questions marks from Edwards as well.
There's no denying he got the most important decision absolutely right, playing a key role in appointing Arne Slot as Jurgen Klopp's successor.
The Dutchman has shown he was the right candidate and Liverpool are lucky to have him at a time when so many other clubs in the Premier League are struggling to find their perfect manager.
But there is one thing that will have left Edwards frustrated.
Edwards did not arrive as a Liverpool man. He was appointed as the chief executive of football for FSG.
At the time it was thought that Edwards would be returning to aid in FSG's ambitions to expand their portfolio in football.
This was a key decision behind Edwards' return. He explained as such in FSG's statement announcing his appointment as per the BBC.
"One of the biggest factors in my decision is the commitment to acquire and oversee an additional club, growing this area of their organisation," said Edwards.
"I believe that to remain competitive, investment and expansion of the current football portfolio is necessary."
Edwards was not the only appointment made by FSG. Julian Ward came in as FSG's technical director and Pedro Marques was brought in from Benfica as FSG's director of football development.
These were all seen as appointments not merely for Liverpool but for a bigger footballing network.
Yet almost a year on nothing seems to have moved on in FSG's pursuit of another club.
There were murmurs of a move for Bordeaux in the summer, but nothing materialised.
And there is no denying this broken promise is absolutely hindering Edwards' work at the moment.
Anfield Watch revealed that Liverpool continue to monitor Momodou Sonko last year. Anfield Watch has also exclusively reported on Liverpool's pursuit of Stefanos Tzimas. There are rumours at the moment of a move for El Hadji Malick Diouf from Slavia Prague.
These are names that could be perfect for the multi-club model. It's clear that Edwards and his recruitment team are doing their job identifying talents for the future.
But FSG's side of the bargain has yet to come through. 10 months on from Edwards' appointment FSG seem no closer to buying a second club than they were before he returned.
At some point Edwards will surely become frustrated with the lack of development on this front. He clearly described this was one of the motivating factors behind his decision to come back and work with FSG.
The longer no needle is moved, the more frustrated Edwards will be, and the more he will be unable to put his vision in place.
It's time for FSG to put their words into action and give their chief executive of football what he wants.
