Liverpool EXCITED over plans to add star to Arne Slot's squad
Liverpool's incomings over the past few transfer windows have been bleak.
Across two winter opportunities and the past summer, the club secured only Federico Chiesa on deadline day and Giorgi Mamardashvili - who will join the team from the 2025/26 season.

When Arne Slot was chosen as Jurgen Klopp's successor, he was given the chance to work with all sorts of new players at a new club, but the fans have yet to see any real change in personnel since the Dutchman arrived on Merseyside.
Fortunately, the tactical changes haven't been too significant, so the team is still recognisable as a Liverpool side, but Arne Slot's imprint on it has so far been limited to slightly tweaking and improving the club's current players.
We will have to wait and see whether Slot will eventually be given the chance to sign some players of his own, but for now, the club is eyeing up a new addition to the team who is already on the payroll.
Owen Beck to solve Liverpool's left-back problem?
As a result of having such a large academy full of talented players who all want an opportunity to showcase their skills, the club often has to loan some of their best assets before assessing their futures.
This was the case with Owen Beck, who was unable to break into the first team like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jarrell Quansah, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott have been able to.
His route to becoming a professional player involved moving to Blackburn Rovers this season, to get game time in the Championship.
It is a pathway that many players go down and although their dream is to break into Liverpool straight away, the development and maturity that they can gain from a loan move can be beneficial to breaking through later down the line.

According to Rousing the Kop, Liverpool are 'delighted' by Beck's progress while at Blackburn and are 'enthused' by what they've seen from him.
At 22 years old, the Welshman is a ready-made left-back just waiting to be given a chance and while Andy Robertson continues to struggle in the position, an opening might be just around the corner for Beck to fill.
Having made 22 appearances, Beck is now Blackburn's starting left-sided defender and Arne Slot could be given another option to consider next season, as the club continues to decide how to resolve Robertson's situation.
Plenty of players have been linked with a move to Liverpool to become the team's new left-back, including Antonee Robinson, Milos Kerkez and Jorrel Hato, which could make Beck's task that little bit harder.
But at 28 years old with his contract set to expire in 2027, Kostas Tsimikas' future at the club is also uncertain and Liverpool might want two recruits in the position, one being Beck who could save FSG some money as they look to be frugal in the transfer market.
Tyler Morton followed a similar route last season when he was out on loan at Hull City in the Championship, excelling in his performances each week, leading to a promotion to Liverpool's first team, potentially featuring as a long-term replacement for Wataru Endo in defensive midfield, while Ryan Gravenberch leads the position currently.
