England star would be PERFECT for Liverpool
Liverpool are going through a season of change, despite potentially lifting the Premier League title in May.
Before the 2024/25 campaign began, the club had to appoint a new sporting director and a new chief football officer, in addition to a new head coach.

Across the last seven months, the players have been having to adapt to the new style of play and tactics on the pitch, and now that Arne Slot has had an opportunity to assess his men, some players will leave this summer.

The more obvious candidates for a move elsewhere are Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, and potentially Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold on free contracts.
However, some players on the periphery of Slot's side might also be on the chopping block and Liverpool will need to be aware of their situations as well.
Liverpool to swap one England prodigy for another
One such player is Harvey Elliott, who has had a difficult season to cope with.
He's only 21 years old, so the world is still very much at his feet. The possibilities for his professional career are endless, so a lack of minutes this season won't be the end of the world for him.
After all, he spent most of September, October and December on the sidelines after fracturing his foot, so it should be no surprise that his appearances are down this season.
The injury could have had a long-term impact if Slot didn't manage him properly, and after failing to hit the ground running at the start of the season, it is understandable that Slot might not have been aware of how influential he could be.
But the fact of the matter remains that during the 2022/23 campaign, he had 2275 minutes across 46 games, and last season he had 2817 minutes across 53 appearances, whereas he has muscled just 174 minutes this season.
Elliott confirmed after the first leg of the PSG tie that he remains committed to Liverpool, but if offers start coming in then a potential transfer elsewhere might be too good an opportunity to ignore.
And if Liverpool were to sell him, then there is a clear candidate out there who would be the perfect replacement.
Morgan Rogers at Aston Villa - a 22-year-old attacking midfielder who is one of the big up and coming talents in world football.
He made 19 goal contributions in the 2023/24 season and he is already on 21 for this season with at least 10 games still to go.
Thomas Tuchel rewarded his impressive Premier League campaign with a maiden call-up to the senior England national team, and his performance was mightily impressive - winning nine of his 13 duels and succeeding in seven of his eight dribble attempts.
Of course, any speculation that Elliott might leave alongside the news that Trent is almost guaranteed to move to Real Madrid might well set the fanbase into a depression, and the player has clarified that he doesn't want to move.

But if the youngster ever changes his mind, or if the club decides they want a different understudy for Dominik Szoboszlai, then a clear candidate is waiting in the wings in Birmingham who is only going to get better as his career progresses.
