Elon Musk's Liverpool takeover rumours CONFIRMED
Elon Musk's desire to buy Liverpool has now been confirmed.
There has been some speculation linking the South African billionaire with a surprise takeover of Liverpool.

Musk, who owns major corporations in the United States like Tesla and the social media platform X, has roots back in the city of Liverpool with his grandmother, Cora, having been born in the city.
In his younger days, Musk would visit Liverpool during the summers from South Africa, where Elon's family moved and where he was born.
Elon Musk's Liverpool takeover confirmed
Musk's desire to buy Liverpool are yet to be confirmed by the man himself. However, his father Errol has done that himself with the 79-year-old confirming his son has thought about buying the club.
Speaking to the Times Radio, Musk was asked whether his son wanted to buy the club.
“I can't comment on that, they'll raise the price," Errol replied. Before going onto confirm that Elon has indeed thought about buying Liverpool.
“Oh yes, [he has expressed a desire], but that doesn't mean he's buying it," he said.
When quizzed further if buying the club was 'in his son's sights', the father said:
“He would like to yes, obviously. Anybody would want to - so would I!"
"His grandmother was born in Liverpool, and we have relatives in Liverpool and we were fortunate to know quite a lot of the Beatles because they grew up with some of my family."
"So, we are attached to Liverpool you know..."
Could Elon Musk buy Liverpool from FSG?
Based on those comments, it certainly seems like buying Liverpool is a possibility for Musk. FSG have been open to selling the club. Back in 2022, The Athletic reported that FSG put Liverpool up to sale.
After that the club's owners opened Liverpool up for new investment selling a minority stake to US private equity firm Dynasty Equity.
Their stance at the moment is moot given Liverpool's presence continues to grow.
However, Musk's wealth and his recent acquisition of Twitter (now known as X) certainly proves that if he has his eyes set on something, he has the ability to acquire it.
Therefore given what his father has said and given Musk's track record you cannot rule out a possible bid.
Especially, interesting is the fact that this has all come to light at a time when Musk seems to be placing a heightened focus on the UK, recently making bizarre far-right leaning posts about his grandmother from Liverpool.
What is Elon Musk's net worth and current business ventures?
According to the renowned Bloomberg's index Musk is the richest of all of the billionaires in the world.
His current estimate net worth is around $350bn.
Musk first made his wealth through PayPal, which he co-founded but left in 2000.
His current ventures include X, SpaceX, Tesla, The Boring Company, xAI and Neuralink.
