Dominik Szoboszlai sends emphatic Milos Kerkez message after bizarre Liverpool comments
Liverpool’s interest in Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez has been more than well established.
As reported exclusively by Anfield Watch back in November, the Reds are eyeing up the Hungarian international as the long-term replacement for stalwart Andy Robertson at the position.

Kerkez is enjoying the best season of his career to date, with manager Andoni Iraola clearly getting a tremendous level of buy-in from his players so far and the Cherries sitting seventh in the table at time of writing, three points off Chelsea in fourth.
But fans were dealt a blow yesterday after Kerkez himself was quoted saying "I will not go to Liverpool. For everybody listening, I will not go to Liverpool." on a livestream on his own YouTube channel.
Now, he obviously can’t just up and say “we’ll see!” when asked in the YouTube live comments section about going to Liverpool - his club and his agent would probably never forgive him.
But it’s not what Liverpool fans want to hear, particularly after losing out on long-term target Omar Marmoush to Manchester City.
But not all hope is lost. Hungarian teammate and Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai clearly isn’t giving up on wooing his friend to the idea of a Merseyside switch.
Szoboszlai leaves Kerkez a message
Szoboszlai has left a subtle message on Twitter, replying to a series of images Kerkez tweeted of himself with a thumbs up emoji.
It’s obviously not confirmation or out and out tapping up, but the timing of it probably can’t be coincidental. The two are incredible close friends, so Szoboszlai almost certainly knew what he was doing.
Kerkez has got off to a flying start in 2025, seeing himself bag an assist in Bournemouth’s 2-0 win over Everton and then a goal in their 4-1 demolition of Newcastle last weekend.
With the Cherries not having lost a game since November, prying the young left back away from them may be tougher than originally thought.
But if anyone can manage it behind the scenes, it will be Szoboszlai.
