But there is one player contracted to the club who has had a rotten luck with injuries this season and whose campaign has ended prematurely already this early on in February.
The young defender confirmed the news on his social media channels on Tuesday afternoon in which will be a massive setback in his young career.
But he will be hoping to bounce back as soon as possible and return to be in contention for a first team call-up.
Calum Scanlon reveals heartbreaking injury update
The player in question is Calum Scanlon who has been on loan at Millwall but has only been able to play four matches for the club.
Earlier on in the season, Scanlon suffered an injury that required him to go back to Liverpool for a few months to rehabilitate.
He returned to Millwall in January and instantly caught his manager's eye with some great performances, even scoring his first professional goal.
But then came another injury setback against Luton in which Scanlon was forced off the pitch after just 17 minutes.
The injury was expected to rule him out for several weeks but it seems like he's season is now over and he confirmed as such on his Instagram account, saying his farewell to his loan side.
"Picking up another injury is difficult. But every time I have come back stronger and hungrier. This will only make me better," Scanlon wrote.
"My time at Millwall has been cut short, but I have made amazing memories and met great people. Thanks to the fans who supported me from the start, wishing you all the best for the rest of the season.‘The Lord is My Rock, My Fortress, My Saviour’ Psalm 18:2."
The 19-year-old, who will turn 20 years old later this month is believed to be very highly rated.
He was signed from Birmingham's academy where he learned the trade alongside Jude Bellingham's brother, Jobe, in a very talented generation.
Capable of playing as a left-back and as right-back and further up the pitch as a winger, he's got the versatility to be an asset to Slot's first team in various roles.
