Liverpool decide star can LEAVE after latest talks
Liverpool are ready to let one first-team star leave the club after just two years at Anfield. It comes after initial talks over a move away.
Every Liverpool fan should gear up to lose one of their favourites in 2025. The Reds are going to shake up their squad in Arne Slot's second season - a stark contrast from his first.
Liverpool Transfer News Today: Reds prepare RECORD bid as star is READY to join
Liverpool didn't really make any major changes to the squad ahead of Slot's debut campaign. The only arrival has been Federico Chiesa but the Italian has a mere 28 minutes across the Premier League thus far.
Things will be different going forward, though. Liverpool plan on big moves later this year as they rebuild the squad for their (hopefully) title-winning head coach.
That means signing players who suit his style but also letting go of those who don't. And that means one exit is firmly on the cards.

Wataru Endo out
It appears Liverpool are ready to let Wataru Endo leave the club after two seasons. The Japan international was signed under Jurgen Klopp as a bit of a last resort in 2023 but quickly established himself as a brilliant defensive midfielder under the former boss.
Slot, however, has not found the same use for Endo. After 20 Premier League starts last term, he's yet to get the nod for a single one under the Dutchman.
Now, Endo has become a very valuable player under Slot but for entirely different reasons. He's a 'closer' - someone who gets thrown onto the pitch right at the end to shut the game down and secure the points.

It's not a role Liverpool will but too much stock into. As in, they'd absolutely sell for the right price as Endo doesn't average many minutes.
And so it's no surprise whatsoever that Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg is reporting that Liverpool will accept offers for Endo this summer. Eintracht Frankfurt has already started talks over him, in fact.
There's no bid as of yet as Frankfurt feel he's too expensive. But Liverpool are ready and willing to discuss a sale and we imagine other teams will have a look here.

Endo has been brilliant for Liverpool and thoroughly deserves a winner's medal this season - but his long-term future is unquestionably in doubt. Frankfurt are merely the first team to take advantage of that.
