Teammate confirms £50m target is READY to join Liverpool
Even though the season hasn't finished yet, Liverpool are already preparing for a busy summer transfer window.
Before the 2025/26 campaign starts in August, the Reds will have contract extensions to negotiate, sales to sign off on and signings to secure, in what is set to be the club's busiest off-season in years.

In order to pull off such a feat, FSG are expected to allow the recruitment team to have a spending spree so that Arne Slot has the players that he requires to be able to compete on all fronts again next season, albeit with a much-changed squad.

One particular area of concern is centre-back, a position that has been neglected over the past seven transfer windows since Ibrahima Konate came through the door in 2022.
A number of different options are being considered, and the club has reportedly just received a huge boost with one of their main targets.
Kluivert confirms Huijsen will LEAVE Bournemouth this summer
Despite only moving to Bournemouth last summer from Juventus, the current reports suggest that Liverpool will pounce on Dean Huijsen following his successful Premier League campaign with the Cherries.
The 19-year-old was chucked in the deep end when Andoni Iraola's side were crippled by defensive injuries, but the Spaniard has taken to life in the best league in the world like a duck to water, delivering standout performances across 27 appearances this season.
His release clause is only £50m, making the prospect of signing the talented youngster all the more tempting, even though he has only just moved, and given he is still at the very precipice of his career.
But last night, he delivered a performance for Spain that answered any questions you might have had about his calibre.
Across 120 minutes, he made seven clearances, three key passes and five long balls - one of which resulted in an assist for Lamine Yamal, which was truly sumptuous and reminiscent of the partnership that Virgil Van Dijk and Mohamed Salah have at Liverpool.
As such, there's little more to say about Huijsen, given that Liverpool can meet his release clause whenever they like, and the player has demonstrated countless times that he is going to be one of the standout stars in European football moving forward.
The only thing missing might have been his personal terms for a move, given he only transferred to the South of England less than 12 months ago.
But now that too is no longer a problem. Speaking to Radio MARCA after the match, Justin Kluivert, the Spaniard's teammate at Bournemouth said that he 'knows' that Huijsen won't be with the Cherries next year, all but confirming that Liverpool could have a new centre-back when the summer rolls around.
If Huijsen is truly expecting to be playing his football away from Bournemouth, then who better to join than Liverpool, the soon-to-be Premier League champions, where he will be exposed to regular Champions League football against the best players in the world?
Stop EVERYTHING: Harry Kane wants to join Liverpool
The Reds' now sporting director Richard Hughes previously worked with the Cherries, so there is already a rapport there, and the club is in need of a centre-back regardless of whether Van Dijk leaves or not, so we could have a match made in heaven.
