Darwin Nunez moonlighting as a MEAT SALESMAN in Asia
Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez has been handed the opportunity to be at the centre of a new, bizarre off-field campaign.
The Uruguayan forward has represented his country on the pitch on 31 occasions and has now been selected to represent his nation in a different sense, as the face of an Asian meat marketing campaign.
Nunez has scored twice in 10 appearances for the Reds this season and is set for a proper run in the starting XI following an injury to Diogo Jota.

The Uruguay Football Association and the National Meat Institute have come to an agreement that will see five national team players be used in a Uruguay Meats marketing campaign in Asia.
Nunez and Uruguay Meats
INAC (Uruguay’s National Meat Institute) has selected Nunez alongside Federico Valverde, Ronald Araujo, Rodrigo Bentancur and Manuel Ugarte to try and boost sales in the Asian market according to Eurocarne.
The report states that INAC’s target markets align with areas where football is developing and as such they want to use prominent footballers from the top European leagues as advertising tools.
INAC will be an official sponsor of the Uruguayan national team and the agreement will run until the end of 2026.
The images of the footballers will be used exclusively in the Asian market and the campaign will primarily focus on China, Korea, Japan, the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia.
Both Liverpool supporters and INAC will be hoping that Nunez can produce some stand-out performances in the coming weeks, although for very different reasons.
The Reds have found themselves in a title challenge and Nunez finding form could be the boost the team needs to carry them through the rest of what is a very difficult run.
Nunez scored in his return to the starting XI against RB Leipzig and provided an assist for Mohamed Salah against Arsenal on Sunday.
