'They've lost everything' - World Cup winner gives DAMNING Liverpool verdict

It was an April to forget for Liverpool with the Reds slipping out of contention for the Premier League title and failing to get past Atalanta in the Europa League quarter-finals.

Performances have tailed off dramatically in recent weeks, with fatal Premier League defeats coming in games against Crystal Palace and Everton.

The weekend draw with West Ham was another huge setback for the Reds’ faltering title bid with manager Jurgen Klopp and star player Mohamed Salah having to be kept apart by Darwin Nunez following an ugly touchline spat.

Klopp’s reign is fizzling out and the Reds haven’t looked like themselves as their bid for a quadruple turned to dust

World Cup winner Franck Lebouef was shocked with the level of underperformance in the Liverpool defence on Saturday, believing that the goals from Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio were both avoidable.

“Most of the time we talk about Liverpool and we give credit to the intensity that they put in the game offensively, but also defensively,” Leboeuf told ESPN in his analysis of the West Ham draw.

“They always try to get the ball back as soon as they lose it. On top of not being there offensively, they were completely slow defensively.”

A confident, resilient team has recently become porous and uncertain, with individual errors creeping into the team and the side generally unable to finish chances.

It’s a long way from the side that claimed Champions League, Premier League and Club World Cup glory in Klopp’s Anfield heyday

'They lost what makes Liverpool the best' - Leboeuf

That is something picked up on by ex-Chelsea defender Leboeuf, who is of the opinion that recent performances have demonstrated that Klopp’s Liverpool have lost the qualities which made them so formidable.

“That's something we didn't see for most of the season. But right now they lost everything. They lost the intensity. They lost their sharpness.

"They lost what makes Liverpool the best, maybe in Europe. It's being hungry and they're not hungry anymore.”
