What Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard told Curtis Jones after MAJOR announcement
Saffie Khan and Curtis Jones have announced the birth of their daughter.
Khan had been expecting a child and was due to give birth this month.
Jones even left the England camp in preparation to be there with his partner when his daughter was born.
And the couple shared the wonderful news of the birth of their daughter earlier today with an Instagram post that reads:
“Giselle Delilah Jones *Pink heart emoji* 13.10.24.You are our entire world. *Infinity emoji*”
Accompanied by some heartfelt pictures of the three of them.
It is fantastic news and, as expected, the football world couldn’t have been quicker to congratulate the news parents.
Obviously, Jones’ Liverpool teammates were first on the scene.

Wataru Endo, Caoimhin Kelleher, Kostas Tsimikas, Cody Gakpo, Ibrahima Konaté, Harvey Elliott, Jarell Quansah and Darwin Nuñez all shared either a one-word or emoji-based response of congratulations. Whilst it is the thought that counts, after all, you might hope your teammates have more to say than just emojis.
Perhaps the most notable other reaction is from once Liverpool-linked and now world football superstar Jude Bellingham, whose ‘Congrats bro *heart hands emoji* currently has the most likes on the post.
The two know each other from their time in the England youth setup, so it is expected that the star would have kind words for the Liverpool midfielder.
Steven Gerrard sends Curtis Jones message
Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard also commented on the post, which is understandable given the prior relationship between the two. The Liverpool legend send a heart emoji to congratulate Jones.
Speaking on the We Are Liverpool podcast last year, Jones spoke about how Gerrard helped him develop into a first-team player whilst coaching the under-18 side. In particular, he mentions the harshness of Gerrard’s coaching.
“I gave you the 10 shirt on your back because I want you to be my main lad in the team and I want to build the team around you” Jones quotes Gerrard as telling him, “but you didn’t show enough”.
The congratulations are joined by former players Jordan Henderson, Bobby Clark and Stefan Bajcetic. With Jones and Henderson partnering each other in midfield oftentimes in the past, that one will have meant a lot.
Whether Jones plays against Chelsea at the weekend or not, expect a Ronaldinho-esque baby rocking celebration from someone in the team.
