The Good Luck, Babe! Star took home the Best New Artist gong at the awards ceremony to crown an incredible year. And with Chappell having revealed her Liverpool fandom last year, the club were eager to get in on the celebrations.

Liverpool congratulate Chappell Roan

Liverpool’s official USA X account posted a video earlier this week featuring a customised red home shirt with CHAPPELL ROAN 25 on the back.

"What a week to be a Red," the post read. "Congrats on your first Grammy, @ChappellRoan."

Plenty of fans were excited about the unexpected collab post.

“my daughter will LOVE this!,” wrote one user on X.

“What?! I cannot imagine what that would sell for if signed! (Do one for charity, Chappell).” urged another.

“Didn't see this coming omg,” another remarked.

But fans shouldn’t be too surprised about the Liverpool - Chappell Roan link-up.

In a throwback post in December on Instagram, Chappell showed an image of herself as a teenager wearing a 2008/09 Liverpool home shirt made famous by Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres.

She captioned the post: “a different era… indeed .” and jaws were on the floor about her revelation.

Chappell Roan is a Liverpool fan

Liverpool fans were thrilled to have one of the world’s most popular musical acts among the support. There were multiple “YNWA” shouts in the comments with some fans also declaring “You’ll Never Walk A Roan”.

Chappell is not the only singing superstar with Liverpool connections. Taylor Swift brought her record-breaking “Eras” tour to Anfield last summer.

Around 150,000 Swifties descended on Liverpool’s home ground over three nights, delivering a massive boost to the city’s economy and the club’s coffers. And next summer Dua Lipa is set to play two nights at the stadium.

Chappell Roan will headline the upcoming Leeds and Reading Festivals in summer 2025 and Liverpool fans would dearly love the diehard Red to play a homecoming gig of sorts at Anfield someday soon.
