One of the most significant in terms of recruitment was Michael Edwards. Formely a sporting director, he returned to work for Liverpool and FSG in a wider capacity last year.
Alongside him, the likes of Richard Hughes and Pedro Marques have arrived as the Reds look to bolster their plans to expand into the multi-club model.
Julian Ward has also returned to work in a wider capacity and now another key addition has been added to the squad who has been described as the 'Erling Haaland of his field.'
EXCLUSIVE: Paris Saint-Germain commit to massive Ibrahima Konate move
The Liverpool ECHO has confirmed various reports that have emerged about Liverpool landing Laurie Shaw from the City Group, where he was responsible for a number of teams in his role in the backroom staff, including Manchester City, as the director of football data.
The ECHO's report claims that Shaw will be working in a similar role for Liverpool although its not yet clear when he will join the Reds.
Another interesting detail in the report claims that Shaw has been known in various circles as the 'Erling Haaland of his field.'
It's definitely a huge coup for the Reds. During Shaw's time Manchester City won a treble including a long coveted Champions League title.
And the rest of the City Group flourished as well.
Most notably, Girona grew its assets massively. The Spanish side were playing in the second division of Spain before Shaw took his role and under him became a Champions League club, finishing third in La Liga in the 2023/24 season.
With FSG looking to move to a multi-club model the addition of Shaw is a significant one.
Under Shaw, Girona's recruitment saw them bringing in the likes of Artem Dovbyk, Miguel Gutierrez and Viktor Tsygankov.
Shaw's time saw The City Group recruit massive talents like Savinho, who played for Girona as well and is a perfect example of the multi-club working well for promising young players.
Meanwhile, for Man City he played a role in identifying talents like Josko Gvardiol, Omar Marmoush, Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov.
Shaw's experience working in a multi-club system and playing a role in Girona's rise through the ranks of Spanish football could be a valuable asset for FSG.
But having agreed to bring in Shaw, his arrival alone is exciting. He is one of the leading figures in tracking data in football and he knows Liverpool's Will Spearman well.
