After pursuing the likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, it's not quite what the Reds fans will have been waiting for.

The deal confirmed by the club on Wednesday is not an arrival but someone who is saying goodbye to Anfield after many, many years spent at Anfield.

Liverpool confirm Tom Hill has left the club

It was reported earlier on the week that Hill was set to leave Liverpool. The 22-year-old midfielder who was the captain of the club's U21 and U18 sides has been at the Reds since pre-academy joining at U5 level as a four-year-old.

On the whole he has spent close to 18 years at the club and made his first team debut back in 2019 against Aston Villa in the League Cup.

Last season, he sat on the bench in the Europa League under Jurgen Klopp and often participated in first team training. But he is now set to leave for pastures new.

Liverpool have confirmed that Hill will join Harrogate Town in League Two on a permanent deal.

Hill has already been announced by his new club as well with a very creative announcement video as you can see above.

The midfielder was a highly rated prospect on the books and was always regarded in high esteem at Anfield. But he had his troubles with injuries which often halted his progress.

It is hoped he can kick on in his new environment and kickstart his senior career at a club fighting to stay in the Football League, currently sitting 17th in League Two.
