Liverpool 'confident' of securing new contracts for star trio

Liverpool are confident that Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold will all renew their contracts with the club, according to a report.

The trio all have deals that are set to expire in 2025, but there is no panic among the Liverpool board in regard to them penning new terms.

That's according to Football Insider, who claim that the club are sure they will be able to tie down each one of their superstars to another contract, keeping them on Merseyside for the foreseeable future.

Salah has long been linked with a mega-money move to Saudi Arabia, with many assuming that Liverpool would give in to the advances of the likes of Al-Ittihad this summer after rejecting a reported £200m proposal from the Middle Eastern outfit last year.

However, Salah is in no rush to move to the Saudi Pro League and is keen to keep playing at a top level - something that will come as music to the ears of Liverpool, who despite the eye-watering offers will have no desire to sell their talisman.

Van Dijk had fans briefly worried when revealed that he 'didn't know' where his future lied in a post-Jurgen Klopp era.

However, he quickly reinforced his commitment to the club, stating: "To be 100 per cent clear, I am fully committed to the club. I love the club, I love the fans. It is fully taken out of context.

Meanwhile, Alexander-Arnold is reportedly expected to be offered the most lucrative terms out of the three as Liverpool look to secure their vice-captain's long-term future.

The Liverpool hierarchy see the 25-year-old as pivotal to the future of the club and are confident he will sign an extension, with there being no signs that he is looking to push for a move away from his boyhood club.
