Liverpool can’t hide from Dominik Szoboszlai TRUTH any longer
There is one truth Arne Slot must come to accept about Dominik Szoboszlai at Liverpool.
For much of the season, the Reds' head coach has trusted the Hungarian to deliver for him week in, week out. And rightfully so, Szoboszlai is an elite player.

He's a player who since he was a teenager, has been scoring goals in the Champions League and making decisive impact for Hungary's national team.
Szoboszlai has the potential to be a world-class midfielder, and he has absolutely been an extremely important part of Liverpool's success this season.
His energy off the ball and the work-rate he puts in is essential to making Slot's system tick. But there is one thing Szoboszlai doesn't excel at, which he has been forced to do many times this season.
EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool ENTER Hugo Ekitike talks
And it's something Slot must come to accept and fix in his Liverpool squad.
Why Dominik Szoboszlai is not a no.10 at Liverpool
The Hungarian simply isn't good at playing with his back to goal. He's a midfielder who thrives when he has space ahead of him and he can take players on and make forward passes.
At Liverpool, he hasn't been able to showcase that side of his game too often, apart from a few games towards the beginning of last season under Jurgen Klopp.
Far too often he's been asked to play in an advanced midfield role, even at times being the furthest Liverpool player in the opponent's half.
And this is something he has never played in his career. Szoboszlai has always been a player who received the ball with his front facing the goal and the play being ahead of him.
At youth level for Hungary, he often played as a deep-lying playmaker and as a no.6. He played a similar role for Red Bull Salzburg's youth team before switching to a more box-to-box midfield and then an inverted left-midfield role.
The Hungarian is best when he's got options ahead of him to make a decision and to spread passes left, right and centre.
He isn't able to show his creative side when he's being asked to play with his back to goal, trying to shake-off defenders who are stuck to him like glue.
That's not the type of midfielder Szoboszlai is. He's a lot more fluid than that. And that's why he just simply doesn't suit Slot's no.10 role.
In that no.10 position, you are basically required to be a second striker, someone who thrives inside the opposition's penalty area and scores a lot of goals.
This isn't Szoboszlai and the game against Fulham definitely proved it with the Hungarian struggling to show his best side through no fault of his own.
It's clear a change is required. Szoboszlai needs to play deeper and be considered as a no.8 again in this Slot system.
The Dutchman needs a proper no.10, someone who is capable of playing the role in the way is ought to be played and in the process allowing Szoboszlai to flourish.
