Liverpool’s £100m record-breaking transfer is ON
Liverpool could potentially be involved in a major deal that might be worth £100m according to the latest reports.
Richard Hughes hasn't really hit the ground running at Anfield just yet, but the club's sporting director is just getting started.

Liverpool have big plans ahead as the Reds look to continue building Arne Slot's squad and making the team the most dominant forces not just in England but in Europe.
At the same time, Hughes' agenda list also involves extending the contracts of the club's main trio, Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Meanwhile, in the summer he will be looking to add more reinforcements, including potentially being involved in a record-breaking deal.
Liverpool’s £100m record-breaking Joao Pedro transfer is ON
One area where Liverpool will definitely be looking to reinforce the team is the attack. Slot may have a number of options in that department but it still feels like he is lacking a true consistent no.9.
That could be about to change with multiple reports now confirming that Joao Pedro is on Liverpool's transfer radar.
The Brazilian is an excellent forward who has been followed by the club since 2019, and we've recently spoken with an expert about just how good he is.
But Liverpool might have to pay over the odds to sign him. A recent report suggests that the Reds could be forced to pay as much as £100m.
According to TBR football, Brighton have set a £100m price tag on Pedro and have no intentions to sell him in the near future.
That is to be expected given Brighton don't easily sell their best players. They have generated massive fees for the likes of Moises Caicedo or Marc Cucurella.
However, the fact that they have set a price tag means it's on. They wouldn't be setting a price tag if they don't want to sell him entirely
And it won't stop Liverpool's pursuit either. Considering how long they've been keeping an eye on Joao Pedro for, the Reds will not be deterred.
If Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes believes Pedro could be the answer to Liverpool's no.9 void then they will try to negotiate a deal.
If that means breaking the club's transfer record in order to get him, which currently stands at £75m (Virgil van Dijk), the club has shown in the past they are not afraid to spend big for the right player.
Whether that is Joao Pedro or not remains to be seen.
For now, he is certainly a player worth keeping an eye on.
