Bournemouth's visit provides Nunez with a golden opportunity to prove his worth to his new manager with the Uruguayan yet to register a goal or an assist this season, having come off the bench four times.

Caoimhin Kelleher has also been handed his first start under Slot with Alisson ruled out with a slight muscle injury.

The length of the Brazilian's abscence remains to be unseen after being a doubt for Friday afternoon's training session.

Kelleher will be looking to demonstrate once more why he is worthy of regular minutes with the Irishman voicing his displeasure of not leaving to seek a number one spot elsewhere this summer during the international break.

Andy Robertson also comes back into the team replacing Kostas Tsimikas. The Greek started against AC Milan in the San Siro this week but has to wait a little longer to be handed a first Premier League start this campaign.

Cody Gakpo is another player who will have to wait for a start in the Premier League having started against the Italian giants on Tuesday.

The Dutchman registered an assist for Dominik Szoboszlai's goal but remains behind the in-form Luis Diaz in the pecking order for the left wing spot.

Bournemouth have made one change to the team that fell short to Chelsea last week as Julian Araujo replaces the injured Adam Smith.
