Arne Slot makes EXTRAORDINARY Mo Salah contract admission
Arne Slot has had a lot on his plate since he arrived on Merseyside.
From getting to know new surroundings, with new players and a new league to compete in, to answering questions about issues unrelated to him while he attempts to coach the team through an unrelenting schedule, the Dutchman has been extraordinarily busy.

Having inherited an impressive squad compiled by Jurgen Klopp and the club's recruitment team, he has received little credit for the team's remarkable efforts in the season so far as well - leading the way in the Premier League and the Champions League, while still competing in the FA Cup and the EFL Cup.
But when it comes to working with the players directly, Slot is acutely focused on bringing the best performances out of them and creating a tactical plan to succeed in each of the club's endeavours, shutting out outside noise.
Slot's short-term plan regarding Salah
Mohamed Salah is the club's best player and has been for a number of years, an accolade that deserves the utmost respect given the quality that it littered throughout this Liverpool side.
While his consistent attacking efforts season on season speak for themselves, Salah has been keen to deliver his best campaign yet in a red shirt as the club finds themselves in a position to bring home a 20th domestic league title.
His 21 goals and 17 assists across all competitions in this campaign is a remarkable feat for the Egyptian and there are still four months left of the season to go.
However, looming in the background is his impending contract situation that the club is yet to reconcile, leading to speculation that the forward might be let go in June on a free transfer upon the expiration of his current deal, which would leave Slot without his best attacking asset next season.
While some managers would begin making plans for how the team might shape up without Salah, the Dutchman has clarified in a recent interview that his position is not going to change as he firmly focuses on the job at hand - working the players and getting the best out of them.
Speaking exclusively to TNT Sports, Slot was asked about whether he is thinking of replacements for Mo Salah amid the Egyptian's contract talks and he revealed: "For me, it’s most about the short term and making sure these players keep doing what they do offensively and defensively."
When he joined the Reds, it was made clear that he would be given the title 'head coach' rather than 'manager', a distinct change from the hierarchy. In essence, this can be boiled down to having less involvement in transfers and more focus on working with the players.
As such, while recent quotes from Slot might've suggested that he was happy with the owners - Fenway Sports Group - deciding against bringing in further recruits, he could simply be choosing to not get swept up in the complexities of being a 'manager'.
Nonetheless, this is still an extraordinary claim to make considering just how important Salah is to this Liverpool team.
But it's important to focus on the positives.
Slot's ability to get the best out of his players has been clearly demonstrated on a number of occasions already this season, with the primary examples being Trent Alexander-Arnold's defending, Ryan Gravenberch playing a defensive midfield role and Cody Gakpo's full-time stint at left-wing rather than as a centre forward.
And in fact, his simplistic approach to his job is quite refreshing. Slot is complimentary of Salah all the time and I'm sure he would like to keep hold of him for a few more years, but whether he is or isn't available to Liverpool next season is speculation that can only take his concentration away from the important things - succeeding on the pitch.
