Liverpool are going into 2025 with an injury CRISIS
Liverpool are facing another defensive injury after Joe Gomez was taken off in the first-half against West Ham.
The English centre back has been in great form for Arne Slot in recent weeks having replaced Ibrahima Konate in the side following his injury against Real Madrid.

Liverpool have been experiencing somewhat of a defensive injury crisis at times this season, with both Konate and Conor Bradley missing a number of weeks after victory against Madrid in the Champions League.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kostas Tsimikas have also spent time on the sidelines this year.
And now Gomez - who has suffered from injuries in his career - is the latest Reds defender to face a spell out of the side.
Gomez went down in the first-half with what looked like a hamstring problem after a challenge for the ball.
He has been impressive at the back this season alongside Virgil van Dijk, and crucial in continuing the Reds’ good form following Konate’s absence.
Arne Slot provides injury verdict
Slot provided an injury update to Sky Sports after the game, saying:
“We saw today again an injury for Joe Gomez. If a player says he wants to stop he has to be changed.
“We all know it’s a hamstring and we all know it’s going to take a while before he is back. I don’t know how long but he will be out for quite a bit.
“These situations can happen in a season, so a long way to go but a very good first half year.”
Gomez has garnered a reputation as a fan favourite over his long spell at Anfield, but has been plagued by injuries.
The only positive for Liverpool at this stage is that Konate appears to be nearing a return, but with Jarrell Quansah and Van Dijk now the only fit senior centre backs, Slot could be forced into rushing the Frenchman back earlier than he would have liked.
It has the makings of an injury crisis for Slot at the start of 2025, one which would see youngster Amara Nallo likely thrown into first-team action in January.
If Konate's return doesn't go to plan, the next few weeks will be extremely tough for a Liverpool side that have dealt with absences with ease so far this season.
