Arne Slot gives CRUCIAL Diogo Jota update
Liverpool supporters are still waiting for updates on the severity of Diogo Jota's injury, which forced him off during the 2-1 victory over Chelsea.
The Reds remain top of the Premier League table, with Mohamed Salah and Curtis Jones finding the back of the net to seal the win against the London side.
However, during the first half, Diogo Jota was forced off after being brought down by Tosin Adarabioyo near the halfway line. The forward was substituted after 30 minutes, with Darwin Nunez taking his place.

Arne Slot offers Jota update
Jota is undergoing an evaluation by Liverpool’s medical team, but Arne Slot is preparing for the likelihood that he will miss Wednesday's Champions League clash against RB Leipzig.
Speaking to Liverpool's website after the game, Slot said: "Diogo had to be substituted and I am not sure what it is, but I’d be surprised if he is there on Wednesday."
Even if Jota travels to Germany, Nunez is almost guaranteed to start against Leipzig. The Uruguayan has had a difficult start to life under Slot, scoring just one goal so far.
If Jota is sidelined for a few weeks, there will undoubtedly be a lot of pressure on Darwin to deliver some goals during this difficult run of games.
Jota injury 'revealed'
According to Physio Scout on X/Twitter, Jota is believed to have suffered a rib injury after the collision. After an on-field assessment, he tried to continue but was unable to.
The likely possibilities for Jota's injury are either a rib contusion (bruise) or a rib fracture.
Most rib injuries are primarily about managing pain, with recovery from a contusion typically taking 1-2 weeks. However, scans are mostly needed to rule out a fracture, which would extend the recovery period.
Rib injuries are notoriously painful, which might explain why Jota couldn’t continue playing. If a rib contusion is confirmed, he could be back within a couple of weeks, but if a fracture is found, his recovery could take 4-6 weeks.
