INCREDIBLE stat PROVES Arne Slot is the BEST manager in English football history
Liverpool now sit top of both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League tables, and Arne Slot looks to have settled in well to life in Merseyside.
Tuesday night saw the Reds thrash a Bayer Leverkusen side that hadn’t lost away from home in 18 months and won the Bundesliga without losing a single game last season.
That 4-0 victory was a big statement for Slot, and those claiming that Liverpool’s early season success is down to their ‘easy’ schedule now have no ground to stand on.
Already under Slot, the Reds have gone to Old Trafford and won 3-0, taken a point from Arsenal at the Emirates, beaten Chelsea and smashed the reigning German champions.

Slot’s sensational start
In fact, Slot has won 14 of his first 16 games, losing one and drawing one, and he has become the first manager in the history of the Premier League to achieve such a feat in their first 16 games in all competitions.
Arne Slot is quite literally enjoying the best start a manager has ever had in the Premier League, and his side don’t look like slowing down any time soon.
Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo are all in electric form up front, Ryan Gravenberch and Curtis Jones have come on leaps and bounds under their new coach and Liverpool’s backline looks the most solid it has for years.
There is no doubt that this side have to be considered genuine contenders for every competition they are in this season. On their day, no one can beat Slot’s Liverpool.
Slot’s start hasn’t been perfect
Although it is the best start to a job in Premier League history, Slot’s record since he arrived at Anfield has not been perfect, and a disappointing loss to Nottingham Forest is the only blot on the Dutchman’s report card.
Although it sounds very bad losing at home to the side that finished 17th in the league last year, 50 points behind Liverpool, Forest are much improved this season and currently sit third in the league table.
That puts the loss into some perspective, and Liverpool’s draw away to title rivals Arsenal can be seen a positive result, especially when you consider that the Reds haven’t won at the Emirates in the Premier League since March 2022.
All in all Slot has earned his record and can boast the best start to a Premier League career in history, now the Dutchman must concentrate on keeping his players focussed and do all he can to bring the Premier League trophy back to Anfield in May.
