Liverpool to focus on winger after Arne Slot DEMAND
Arne Slot is a man who has showcased incredible talents this year since joining Liverpool.
One of his best attributes is finding the drive, ambition and eagerness within players to perform at the very highest level.

Take Ryan Gravenberch. In his first season under Jurgen Klopp, he severely struggled to get to grips with the intensity of the Premier League and subsequently started most matches on the bench.
Now, he has a new lease on life. Slot has unlocked that hidden, inner personality and confidence within the player who is now one of the first names on the team sheet, transforming the Reds midfield as we know it.
Slot wants to achieve this within the whole squad. However, there is one player that seems to require more attention than the others.
Chiesa given a chance
Federico Chiesa has been a source of frustration this season for supporters. Having made only a handful of appearances since his arrival at the club in August, he has constantly been thwarted by injury, illness and general lack of match fitness.
There have been certain reports floating around about his immediate departure from the club in this month's January transfer window however those have been quashed.
In a recent report by the Times, Paul Joyce has indicated that the Liverpool boss is keen to have six attackers in his squad and “the focus is on bringing Chiesa, who has played only 123 minutes this season, up to speed.”
Slot's past projects
It will be intriguing to see what Slot can do. His previous projects such as Cody Gakpo have been so successful, why can’t he do the same with the Italian?
When Gakpo was employed as a striker and struggling to hit the heights, many fans were also calling for his exit. One switch to his preferred position at left-wing and it was like we had a new player on our hands.
Chiesa has caused debate and divide amongst the Anfield faithful. Some believe it’s too late to change, others believe there is still time.
The promise he showed during the Euros in 2021 and his time at Juventus can’t be ignored. There are shadows of that former player still present, they just need to be re-lit.
What Slot has achieved is mesmerising and by installing his faith into the attacker, this is hopefully the first step in the rebrand of new, more capable Chiesa.
