Liverpool are pleased with how Ibrahima Konate has settled into life at Anfield, according to The Athletic, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account.

The Reds signed the centre-back from RB Leipzig for a transfer fee of €40 million back in the summer.

Konate has made seven appearances for Liverpool's first-team this season. The Frenchman averaged a WhoScored player rating of 7.33 in the aforementioned fixtures, which does highlight that he has adapted to life at Anfield.

Liverpool's upcoming Premier League clash against Newcastle United at Anfield on Thursday night is the first of five matches in the space of 13 days for the Reds.

With that being the case, Konate will reportedly be given a good opportunity to play for Klopp's side across December.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

We look forward to seeing more of Konate. As we have already pointed out, the centre-back has been impressive for Liverpool when he has been given an opportunity to play.

Also, Konate is only 22 years of age, which does highlight that he is far from the finished article.
