Liverpool are reportedly looking to re-sign Barcelona midfielder valued at €18 million

Liverpool would like to re-sign Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho, according to Goal Brazil, as cited by Futmais' Twitter account.

The Reds sold the 29-year-old to the La Liga side for a transfer fee of €135 million back in January 2018.

However, Coutinho is reportedly out of favour at Barcelona and could return to Anfield in the near future.

Apparently Everton and Aston Villa are also interested in the 29-year-old.

The midfielder's contract expires in June 2023. Transfermarkt value Coutinho at €18 million.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Coutinho was a fine player for Liverpool between 2013-18. The midfielder scored 54 goals and registered 45 assists in 201 appearances for the club's first-team.

Also, as we have already pointed out, Coutinho is only 29 years of age, which highlights that his career is far from finished.

Therefore, we would love to see the Brazil international back at Anfield. Coutinho would certainly add quality and depth to Liverpool's forward line.

But, only time will tell if the Reds are genuinely interested in the midfielder.
