Liverpool are reportedly interested in Real Madrid midfielder valued at €30 million

Liverpool are interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos, according to Spanish outlet El Nacional.

The report states that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has spoken with the Germany international and ‘promised’ him that a bid will be made.

Kroos' current contract expires in June 2023. The 31-year-old possesses a current market value of €30 million.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

We would love to see Liverpool make a move for Kroos. The midfielder is a very talented player.

Kroos has scored 24 goals and registered 82 assists in 333 appearances for Real Madrid.

The 31-year-old has also been averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.20 in the early stages of the 2021-22 La Liga campaign, which highlights that he still has plenty to give despite being at the backend of his career.

Also, Liverpool are yet to replace midfielder Gini Wijnaldum. The Dutchman departed the Reds and signed for Paris Saint-Germain last summer on a free transfer.

Kroos plays in a similar position to Wijnaldum. But, only time will tell if Liverpool are genuinely interested in the Germany international.
