Liverpool are reportedly interested in Ajax winger valued at €25 million
Ajax winger Antony is a player on Liverpool's radar, according to ElNacional, as cited by ThinkLFCTV's Twitter account.
It has been reported that the Reds are 'keen' on the 21-year-old. Antony is contracted until the summer of 2025.
Transfermarkt value the Brazil international at €25 million.
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
Antony is a promising player. The winger has scored 14 goals and registered 12 assists in 56 appearances for Ajax.
Antony is also averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.41 in the early stages of the 2021-22 Eredivisie campaign.
The aforementioned figures highlight that the 21-year-old possesses end product and quality.
Therefore, we would not be against Liverpool signing Antony. The Reds do possess an ageing forward line.
The likes of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are all aged between 28-30. The aforementioned players can't represent Liverpool forever.
With that being the case, it would make sense for the club to invest in a young forward. But, only time will tell if ElNacional's report is correct.
