Liverpool are reportedly interested in a 25-year-old Bundesliga midfielder
Liverpool are interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria, according to SPORT1 reporter Patrick Berger, as cited by The Anfield Buzz's Twitter account.
The Reds are reportedly one of the few clubs interested in the 25-year-old. Zakaria's contract expires in six months.
With that being the case, the Switzerland international will more than likely be available on free transfer come the summer.
Anfield Watch Verdict
Zakaria is a decent player. The midfielder has been averaging a WhoScored player rating of 6.86 in the Bundesliga this season.
Zakaria is also a reasonably experienced footballer. The 25-year-old has made 144 appearances for Borussia Monchengladbach.
With that being the case, we believe that Zakaria would add quality and depth to Liverpool's midfield.
Therefore, we would love to see the club make a move for the Borussia Monchengladbach man, especially if he is available on a free transfer come the summer.
Only time will tell where Zakaria's long-term future lies.
