Liverpool are reportedly considering making a move for a Barcelona goalkeeper
Liverpool are interested in Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, according to Spanish outlet El Nacional, as cited by Liverpool FC News' Twitter account.
The report states that the 29-year-old would be open to a move away from Barcelona after seeing his name on the club's transfer list.
The report further adds that the Reds are considering making a move for Ter Stegen. The shot-stopper's contract expires in the summer of 2025.
Ter Stegen possesses a current market value of €55 million.
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
We would be surprised if Liverpool were to make a move for Ter Stegen in the near future. The reality is, the Reds do possess a very good first-choice goalkeeper in Alisson.
Liverpool signed the Brazil international from Roma for a transfer fee of €62.50 million back in the summer of 2018.
Since then, the Reds have won four major trophies, which highlights that Alisson has had an impact at Anfield.
Also, former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has labelled the goalkeeper as world-class in the past.
Alisson is only 29 years of age. Therefore, the talented goalkeeper's career is far from over. With that being the case, we can't see the club making a move for Ter Stegen anytime soon.
