Liverpool DESPERATE to sign the NEXT Sadio Mane
At present it is hard to argue that Liverpool aren’t one of if not the best team in Europe at the moment, but that hasn’t stopped them from looking forward to the future.
The Reds are top of the Premier League, they are yet to lose a game in the UEFA Champions League this campaign and they look ready to compete on all fronts.
The arrival of Arne Slot has been revolutionary for some players at the club, and it marked the start of a new era when the Dutchman and his backroom team joined the club.

It wasn’t just coaching changes that occurred at Liverpool over the summer however, Michael Edwards returned to FSG as their CEO of Football and Richard Hughes was appointed as the Director of Football at Anfield.
Slot has things going excellently on the pitch and now Edwards, Hughes and the rest of the recruitment team have identified one prospect who could futureproof Liverpool’s success.
Liverpool chasing Amara Diouf
According to a report from TBR Football, the Reds are one of several teams interested in signing the highly rated Senegalese youngster Amara Diouf.
The 16-year-old is currently part of the Generation Foot academy in Senegal, the academy responsible for producing Sadio Mane as well as other top Senegalese stars.
Diouf became the youngest ever player to make an appearance for the Senegal national team in September 2023 when he came off the bench aged just 15 years and 94 days old.
The Generation Foot academy has a partnership with Ligue 2 side FC Metz and has previously supplied the club with players like Mane, Ismaila Sarr and Pape Matar Sarr.
The report claims that the academy wants the same path for Diouf but that this hasn’t deterred any interested clubs.
Klopp could stop Diouf from joining Liverpool
In a twist of fate it could in fact be the Reds’ legendary former manager Jurgen Klopp that stops Liverpool from getting their man.
Klopp was recently announced as the new Global Head of Soccer for Red Bull, a role he starts on January 1, and the same report claims that he is keen on bringing Diouf into the Red Bull football family.
It is unclear whether the German would try and sign Diouf for RB Leipzig or RB Salzburg, but he is ready to compete with Liverpool for his signature.
Whichever path Diouf choses, he will be following in the footsteps of his countries captain, Mane, who left Generation Foot for Metz, before joining RB Salzburg and then joining Liverpool after two seasons at Southampton.
Klopp will be hoping to cut out the middleman, Metz, and get Diouf to go directly into the Red Bull group, where as Liverpool will want the youngster to bypass most of Mane’s journey and join the Reds as soon as he turns 18.
