Liverpool are keeping an eye on Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, according to CalcioMercato, as cited by The Anfield Buzz's Twitter account.

The report states that the Reds could make a move for the 24-year-old in the near future.

Fiorentina loaned Chiesa out to Juventus back in October 2020. However, the Old Lady have an obligation to purchase the Italy international next summer.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Chiesa is a decent footballer. The winger has scored 17 goals and registered 12 assists in 56 appearances for Juventus.

Chiesa is also averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.85 in the early stages of the 2021-22 Champions League campaign.

The aforementioned figures highlight that the 24-year-old is a capable senior footballer. Liverpool do have an ageing forward line.

The likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are all aged between 28-30. The aforementioned players can't represent the club forever.

Therefore, we would not be against the Reds making a move for Chiesa in the near future.

But, only time will tell if Liverpool are genuinely interested in the talented youngster.
