Alexander Isak wants 'DREAM' Liverpool move this summer
Liverpool have struggled to find a striker who fits the team since Roberto Firmino left the club in 2023.
Of course, Diogo Jota was brought to the club in 2020 and he added a different dynamic to the striker role, while the Brazilian concentrated on playing as more of a false nine.

However, Firmino was then increasingly marginalised as Sadio Mane was turned into a hybrid No. 9 following the signing of Luis Diaz at left wing in 2022, while Jota remained the club's primary striker.

But the club then decided to pivot and bring in a more classical No. 9 in the form of Darwin Nunez who had shone when Benfica visited Anfield in the Champions League.
Yet almost three years on, Liverpool find themselves back to square one again, as both Jota and Nunez are failing to meet the club's standards, to such an extent that Diaz has been converted into a hybrid centre-forward like Mane was before he left the club.
So going into the summer, the plan is clear. The Reds cannot afford to not have a prolific striker in their side any longer.
Isak prefers Liverpool over Barcelona and Arsenal
Looking at the market straightaway, knowing there is only really one player who Liverpool want.
Swedish striker Alexander Isak has been the standout forward in the Premier League behind Mohamed Salah, sitting on 19 goals and five assists for he season.
At 25 years old, he is still yet to hit the prime of his career, and whenever Liverpool have played the Magpies, he has been a thorn in their side.
In six league appearances against the Reds, he has four goals and one assist, including the Toon's second goal in the EFL Cup Final just over a week ago. The envy Liverpool fans have for him is extreme, to say the least.
But Newcastle know his worth, setting the price tag at around £150m - which Liverpool will hope to reduce when negotiations take place.
However, the idea of pulling off a deal for Isak seems to be incredibly daunting, because while the Reds are positioned in a great place - hefty budget to work with this summer and on the brink of winning the Premier League - a number of other clubs are also interested in signing the Swede, including Barcelona and Arsenal.
Although it appears as though a significant breakthrough might have just been made.
According to the Spanish news outlet El Nacional, the striker has a clear preference: "He will wait for Barca only if Arne Slot's Liverpool don't take the lead.
"Isak is one of the players most intrigued to strengthen the [Liverpool] squad this summer. According to sources close to the player, Isak's dream has always been to play at Anfield, and the Reds' current situation makes it even more tempting.
"Isak wants to play for a big club, but he knows the Liverpool train doesn't come twice."
While this is just one report, you can't help but feel like this is a significant moment in the club's hunt for the Swede's signature.
Arsenal are not even mentioned in the report, and when the move is boiled down to two clubs, the Reds come out on top.
Of course, one thing worth considering is that an asking price of €90m is quoted in the article, which would be significantly lower than the current fee we know to be rumoured for a deal, so that inconsistency is worth bearing in mind.
Stop EVERYTHING: Harry Kane wants to join Liverpool
But if this report is to be believed, then Liverpool fans should start getting excited, because a huge scalp is set to join this summer.
